Using the ANDS Research Data Australia Metadata Service
You can use the ANDS Research Data Australia (RDA) Metadata Service to browse for all data submitted to the PIC Cloud.
Search Research Data Australia: This will perform a simple text based search across the entire catalogue.
Current Registrations: You can use this section to narrow your search via different Collections, Parties, Services and Activities. The number returned after the search indicates how many datasets are available via those criteria.
Parties: You can use this section to display datasets according to the dataset provider. The number indicates how many datasets are available via those providers.
Collection Spotlight: This section displays a topical record of interest (chosen by the catalogue hosts); along with a Google map that can be manipulated to display the location of the dataset.
Clicking on a dataset will bring up the display page for the dataset. You can also view the complete record in the ANDS Collections Registry.
Type: This defines the type of record - eg dataset.
Brief Description: Provides a brief description of the dataset.
Full Description: Provides a full description of the dataset.
URL: Provides a link to a related resource or further information.
Subjects: Related keywords.
Distributor: Provides the contact details of the person or organisation responsible for distributing the dataset.
Point of contact: Provides the contact details of the person or organisation responsible for acting as a point of contact for queries about the dataset.
